The ArchLib service is intended to encourage and widen the use of archaeological research publications. It is a condition of the use of this service that the publications provided here are used responsibly and that users adhere to the copyright regulations of the UK as set out in the Copyright & Patents Act (1988). Please read and take note of the following terms and conditions of using this service:

Copyright Statement

All material on the ArchLib website is protected by copyright. For specific copyright regulations, please refer to the specific copyright holders identified in the original print versions of the publications. General regulations for use of the materials provided here, as well as the content of this website as a whole, are as follows:

  1. Single copies may be made of individual papers or sections/chapters for the private use of archaeological researchers.
  2. Single copies may be made of individual papers or sections/chapters for library reserve or short-term loan use.
  3. Multiple copies of individual papers or sections/chapters may be made for teaching/classroom use, provided that such copies are taken only for non-profitmaking institutions for educational use within that institution only.

This consent does not extend to copying for general distribution, advertising, or promotional purposes, the creation of new collective works, or resale. To request permission for these purposes, or indeed any other instance where specific permission to use material is required, such permission must be sought from the copyright holder or agency responsible for the print publications.
